How can I
contribute
to a
child’s
education?
You can contribute online
here
via credit/debit card, internet banking or
cash card. Offline contributions can be made
via cheque or Demand Draft in favour of
‘Shakti Vidya Nidhi Kosh.’ You need to mention
your complete contact details: name, address
including pin code, landline/mobile numbers,
e-mail address.
How to
apply for
a
scholarship?
An individual application is to be made in
either Hindi or English language addressed to
Shakti Vidya Nidhi Kosh, specifying the
following -
Category applied for,
family background, financial condition and
monthly income of earning member,
parent’s/guardian’s name, child’s name with
complete address and contact number, name and
address of the school, class in which she is
studying and school fees for the year. The
application is to be sent to Rishi Chaitanya
Ashram.
How may I
volunteer?
An individual application is to be made in
either Hindi or English language addressed to
Shakti Vidya Nidhi Kosh, specifying the
following -

On what
basis is
aid
granted?
On the basis of eligibility, the application
is scrutinized, screened and then verified by
our team before final approval.
What
happens
once the
application
is
approved?
School fees for the entire year are sent by
cheque favouring the school. Some
parents/guardians may come personally to
receive their cheques too.
What is
the
amount to
educate a
girl for
one year?
It works out to INR 9000/- per year for the
education of a girl. You may contribute any
amount as per your wish.
Can I
sponsor a
particular
child?
Funds for Shakti are collectively pooled and
children who are most needy are given
scholarships for their school tuition fees.
Hence it is not about sponsoring a particular
child, rather it is to reach out to the ones
most in need.
What are
the
categories
Shakti
supports?
Shakti supports orphaned girls and
underprivileged daughters of physically disabled
parents, widows, divorcee mothers as well
as a certain percentage from the economically
poor strata. Deserving students may also be
given scholarships for higher studies.
Do I get
tax
exemption
on my
contribution?
All contributions to Shakti Vidya Nidhi Kosh,
a unit of Rishi Chaitanya Trust are eligible
for deduction of income tax up to 50% under
section 80G of The Income Tax Act 1961, India. The Trust's
80G Registration No. is DIT (E)
2008-2009/R-212/1086.
