Oral Health Care
Even after several
years of independence,
health care in rural
India has not made
inroads to boast of a
healthy community.
Where basic health
check ups aren't
accessible to one and
all, taking care of
dental health is only
a dream. Fulfilling
this dream is the
Dental Care program-an
extension of master's
philanthropic
activities.
Free Dental Check-up &
Awareness Camp
BRIGHTENING UP SMILES & LIVES
Oral health plays a vital
role in over-all health and
wellbeing of the individual.
With the objective to help
people of neighbouring
villages access oral health
and hygiene facilities, Rishi
Chaitanya Ashram organised
free dental check-up and
awareness camp in association
with Lala Gela Ram Dental
Centre (under Church Gate
Medical Society). This is yet
another humanitarian
initiative, under the
guidance of Anandmurti
Gurumaa, in addition to free
women health check-up camp
and blood sharing camp
conducted from time to
time.
This camp was
supervised and conducted by
an expert panel of
professionals from the dental
fraternity. It was held in
the Ashram premises using a
fully equipped mobile dental
unit. Oral health services
offered include dental
check-up, tooth extraction,
scaling, fillings to treat
cavities, x-ray, laser
treatment etc. Over 200
people from the surrounding
villages of Barhi, Teha,
Shahpur Taga were examined,
treated as well as taught
simple ways of maintaining
good dental hygiene. They
were also offered guidance
about food intake so as to
prevent dental disorders and
provided with required
medicines free of cost.
